Dominic Bennett

Dominic Bennett

Director of Operations & Business Development

Dominic joined Aspire in October 2019 following 5 years working in energy and financial recruitment.

Dominic was a recipient of DSA when attending university to support with his dyslexia, following which he became an assistive technology trainer for a short time while studying at university in Leeds.
Dom’s role in the company is to ensure as many students receive Aspire within the current and future markets we work in.

Jenny has several years’ experience working in the Higher Education Sector, in a variety of student facing roles, from Graduate Outcomes to Student Experience. Including the last two years working as the Assessment Centre manger in Student Wellbeing for a large midlands-based University.
Jenny recently gained Chartered Manager Status with the CMI (Chartered Management Institute), has an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Derby and is a National Association of Disability Practitioners (NADP) member.

Lead Developer

Ruby has 10 years experience in building and maintaining interactive web applications. She graduated from the University of Central Lancashire in 2014 with a first class BSc in computer science. Ruby is visually impaired and is always striving to build interfaces which are accessible and inclusive.

Nicola Eccles

Dr. Nicola Eccles

Head of Mental Health and Wellbeing

Nicola is the Head of Wellbeing and Mental Health at Aspire.  Nicola has worked as an academic specialising in health behaviour and public health at Universities in the North of England for many years.  She has also designed, implemented and evaluated health interventions with schools, hospitals and councils across the UK to understand what works, for whom and when in relation to making sustained and effective changes to mental and physical health.  More recently Nicola has been involved in the design and creation of digital health applications dedicated to improving psychological and physical wellbeing.  With a specialism in behaviour change tools, Nicola brings this expertise to the design and delivery of Aspire software solutions. 

Drew Kelly

Videographer

Before joining Aspire as the Videographer/Content Designer, Drew worked as a Content Creator gaining knowledge over the course of 5 years, acquiring many skills in Media Production, and gaining valuable knowledge of the industry. He has a bachelor’s degree in Media Production from the University of Lincoln.

Drew is Dyslexic and hopes to help those in need by producing engaging, supportive & educational content for digital learning.

Prior to joining Aspire as a Software Developer, Jay was working in the Complaints and Compliance department for a leading insurance company. He graduated with a BA (Hons) in Law from Nottingham Trent University, before taking an interest in Computer Science and learning to write code in his personal time.
